Growing Season Burn Workshop | July 27, 2021
Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever of Nebraska and partners are pleased to announce our first growing season burning workshop of 2021. The first event will take place on July 27th from 10 am-3 pm at 2490 Road 45 Linwood, Nebraska. New to this year, participants will be able to see results of several years of different timed (Summer and Spring) burns all on one site in addition to seeing and participating in live fire event.
We are also excited this year to have a company coming in to demonstrate a compressed air foam system (CAFS) mounted to an ATV that can be used in both prescribed and wildland fire situations and which I think could really be a game changer moving forward not only from a safety standpoint but from needing less people and water on site.
Pack a lunch. Bring a chair. Liquid refreshments will be on hand for everyone.
For more information contact Prescribed Fire Coordinator, Brian Teeter at (402) 219-2572 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Habitat tours are brought to you by Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever of Nebraska, the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, US Fish and Wildlife, the USDA, and the Nebraska Environmental Trust.
