Pheasants Forever Nebraska

September Habitat Calendar

Good news, hunting season is upon us once again. September 1st marks opening day for dove and grouse hunting. On Saturday, the whistling wings of early teal offer another hunting opportunity for waterfowlers. Luckily, the Huskers are scheduled to kickoff their season with an evening game. Many chapter volunteers are busy planning their annual banquets and youth mentor hunts. Also, celebrate National Hunting and Fishing Day by pledging to take someone hunting fishing, or trap shooting between now and September 23. With so many exciting events, you’ll have to check out the details in this month’s habitat calendar.

Nebraska Wildflowers is a valuable field guide for anyone interested in prairies, plants, or pollinators!

Nebraska Wildflowers makes field identification both accessible and enjoyable, featuring 240 wildflowers and vibrant photo galleries.

Plus, you’ll find educational briefs on topics including pollinator conservation; habitat establishment and management; and quick references to help identify common bees, butterflies, and grassland birds you might encounter alongside Nebraska’s wildflowers.
